Elevation Headquarters Private Equity Paralegal

Fast-growing real estate private equity firm seeking an experienced real estate/corporate paralegal. Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of title and survey review, land use, transactional documentation, and closing process. Demonstrated drafting ability required. Typical work would include formation of purchasing entity, corporate resolution drafting, assistance in due diligence process, and support the General Counsel in all transaction matters.

Elevation Financial Group’s Paralegal will fill a key role and assist the General Counsel with various aspects of our legal processes. This is an In-House position that allows for an excellent work/life balance. This role will primarily be focused on commercial real estate and lending transactions with some occasional corporate, private equity, and securities work. The ideal teammate will need to possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, work ethic, attention to detail, and work well both in a team environment and autonomously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing resolutions and certificates
  • Performing corporate formations
  • Reviewing title, surveys, organization documents and other due diligence materials
  • Creating and monitoring transaction checklists
  • Drafting consent requests and financing documents
  • Reviewing financing documents
  • Controlling all documentation for real estate transactions
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues that may arise
  • Contract Review and Analysis
  • Zoning Review
  • Transaction Closing Support
  • Preparing closing binders
  • Managing deadlines
  • Working with team to ensure complete recordkeeping and document maintenance

Education and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal or have at least 2 years of study at an accredited law school.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 7 years solid paralegal experience in complex commercial real estate and finance transactions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
